Ceiling Fan Installation
Installing a Ceiling Fan can be a Do-It-Yourself
project. However, if you are unfamiliar with wiring, you should
use a Qualified Electrician.

Option for your Ceiling Fan
Hunter Fan’s unique Installer’s
Choice®,
WobbleFree™, EasyHang and HandsFree™
ceiling fan canopies found on most models are 3-Position

This allows you to mount your Hunter Ceiling Fan
flush-to-ceiling
for extra clearance and head room, standard
ceiling fan hanging, or on a ceiling fan downrod with
angled mounting
for vaulted ceilings with a pitch as steep as 34°!
See illustration below of Hunter Ceiling Fans 3-Position

The Hunter Ceiling Fans with Installer’s
Choice® , WobbleFree™ , EasyHang
and HandsFree™
Canopies will accomadate a Ceiling Pitch up to 34°
without the purchase of any extra Hunter Fan
Accessories.
However, if your ceiling angle is especially
steep and exceeds 34° , you should purchase
a Hunter Fan Vaulted Ceiling
Mount Accessory which will accomadate
up to 45° angles.
For cooling, it is most efficient to have the ceiling
fan blades 8 to 9 feet above the floor. It is recommended
to use an Hunter Ceiling

ceiling fan to this level above the floor to insure
maximum proformance of you Hunter Ceiling Fan.
